China’s stainless-steel prices continued dropping in both the domestic and export markets over the week ending Wednesday May 18, due to soft demand and a drop in the nickel price.

The London Metal Exchange (LME) three-month nickel contract closed at $26,280-26,320 per tonne on Wednesday May 18, down by $1,580-1,595 per tonne from $27,875-27,900 per tonne on May 11.
