Nick Snowdon is a Metals Analyst at Deutsche Bank. He previously was an Executive Director for Standard Chartered in London. His role there included undertaking detailed supply-demand analysis of metal market fundamentals, supplemented by on the ground research in a variety of metals-producing and consuming countries. He joined the bank in 2014 from Barclays where he spent seven years covering the key metals markets, based in London and then New York. Nick holds an Masters in Development Economics from the School of Oriental and African Studies, London University, as well as an undergraduate degree from Durham University in the UK. Standard Chartered Bank was formed in 1969 through the merger of the Standard Bank of British South Africa and the Chartered Bank of India, Australia and China. Today it has over 1,200 branches, offices and outlets in 71 countries across the globe. Its origins in the commodities business began more than 150 years ago, and it offers a whole range of commodity risk management, finance and investor products. Standard Chartered is an Associate Broker Clearing member of the London Metal Exchange.
