Event Overview

Well established as the leading global gathering of aluminium recycling executives, this year's International Recycled Aluminium Conference proved to be the one of the biggest yet with close on 200 attendees from all segments of the recycling industry loop, and an even more international delegate profile than ever before.

Key talking points on the agenda included the latest trends in scrap availability and prices, automotive aluminium demand and how the increasing use of sheet in car bodies is impacting on the recycling loop, packaging recycling, regulatory issues and of course what is happening in major economies such as India and China.

More perhaps than in some of our other events, technology and innovation played a prominent part on the agenda, from high-tech automated scrap sorting processes to new furnace and melt designs, as recyclers seek to find ever more cost-effective and efficient ways of extracting maximum value from secondary raw materials.
