Hilary Stone

Hilary Stone is a lawyer by training. An Honorary Research Fellow in environmental law and management in the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering, Imperial College, London and a visiting lecturer at Loughborough University, she teaches both environmental and energy law. As an environmental consultant she advises in relation to waste and energy matters, chairs the Renewable Energy Association’s Pyrolysis and Gasification group and is a member of the United Kingdom Environmental Law Association Waste Working Party and of the Climate Change and Energy Working Party.

She is a sometime consultant to the World Bank and a former member of Defra HSAC.  Hilary believes that for the world to be a happy place both trade and the environment must be allowed to flourish!
