The discount available on alumina originating from Brazil, compared with material from Australia, narrowed in the second half of September as producers commanded higher prices to meet trader requirements.

East Asian stainless steel prices soften on weak demand

Import prices for stainless flat steel products in East Asia softened this week as demand fell ahead of an upcoming weeklong holiday in China.

Chinese ADC12 export offers stable amid month-end demand slowdown

China’s ADC12 aluminium alloy export prices were stable this week at $1,670-1740 per tonne cfr Japan amid the month-end slowdown in demand.
